Ava Razavi, MACP, RCC, BA, Clinical Supervisor (Provisional)
I was drawn to the field of psychology early on in my studies and had a particular passion for childhood developmental stages.
I therefore pursued a career whereby I could combine my expertise with my passion and worked as a counsellor for more than a decade with children and families who have been through trauma of various kinds.
My experience has taught me the importance of empathy and cultural awareness in helping my clients achieve strength and clarity in their lives.
On a personal level, I can tell you that I too have experienced loss and grief. I too understand the pain associated with a miscarriage, and the anxiety associated with trying again. I too have been through postpartum depression, and the pressure it puts on one’s relationships. I too have experienced loss of loved ones, and the uncertainty that follows. I too have been the subject of discrimination and everyday issues a mom and a woman is expected to face and be triumphant. I have started this business to share with you the tools and skills I have successfully utilized on a professional and a personal level to overcome whatever challenge you are facing in your journey through this life.
To quote the great Persian poet Rumi, I am confident that “the wound is the place the Light enters you”.
